About Baghajatin Athletic Club

Establishment
In 1962 a group of young people most of whom were players, united together to form a club of their own at the side of Baghajatin Park G.S.F.P. School & the club started. Its activities written a paste coned rum on the verandah of school. The young brigade was enthused by Sir S.P Som and other veterans of the area and the club continued its activities for nearly 5 years.

In 1967 sir Dipak Ghosh I.A.S. (S.D.O-Siliguri), Sir Arandamoy Bhattacharyya along with some other local senior gave the young people of the club to shift their pscmises to collegepara, Siliguri when the club is established till now.

Emblem
A competition organized by the members for selection of Emblem. Out of 5 drawing submitted. The drawing submitted by sir Ashish Mitra (Bhaiada) chooses and accepted.

Activities
The club participated in Football, Cricket, Athletic, Volleyball, Table Tenics, Badminton& other indoor games.

Jersey
GREEN & MAROON. 
Decided by the member those who have taken in tail to form the club.

Events
The club is organizing a cross country race (presently road race) since 1985. This event is a glorious event in North Bengal. Athletic from all over India participates in the race and each year visions. Eminent sports persenatetees like Milkha Singh, kapil Dev Nikhanj, P.T. Usha, Saini Wilson, Ashis Nehare  etc has inaugurated the race.
